In this lesson, you will learn how to set up and maintain users on System Foundation 9.0 technology using Lawson’s Legacy Security System, laua.
On System Foundation 9.0 technology, user security can be assigned using Lawson 9.0 Security or laua. A parameter (CheckLS) on the user record determines how the user will receive his access to Lawson. If the CheckLS value is set to Yes, the user will be secured by Lawson 9.0 Security. If it is set to No, the user will have access based on laua security.
All users will require a Resource Manager User Record, regardless of how security is assigned. User Management and Maintenance on System Foundation 9.0 technology is executed using the Resource Manager and Lawson Security Administrator desktop tools.
This lesson will focus on the user whose CheckLS value is set to No. All of the components relative to setting up and maintaining this user will be discussed in this session.
