By the end of this lesson, you will be able to set up the Employee Self Service (ESS) user on System Foundation 9.0 Technology. You will become familiar with all of the necessary components including the following: the Resource Manager User Record, specifically the CheckLS value, group membership, and the significance of the security role. In Manage Identities you will learn about the Employee Self Service Agent, where to assign the user’s company number and employee ID, and the importance of the Environment service, Operating System ID, and Privileged ID. You will understand the benefits of using the loadusers and Mass Assignment utilities. You will also learn how to use Bookmark Management and Portal Roles to control what your ESS users can access when they use the Employee Self Service Center.
