An Agent is a special kind of service found on the Manage Identities segment of the Resource Manager User Record. In this case, the Employee Self Service Agent stores the credentials used to identify users when they log into the Employee Self Service Center: their Company Number and Employee ID. This is how the system identifies users and limits their access to their personal information. An Agent must be created for each productline users need to access. In this view of Manage Identities, the productline name is APPS810. You may have PROD_EMPLOYEE or TEST_EMPLOYEE if your users access the Employee Self Service center in both your Prod and Test productlines. Agents can be created from a command line or by using the ssoconfig utility. Agents are created based on templates delivered in the GENDIR/install/agents directory.
