A Portal Administrator can also control access to the Child bookmarks beneath the Employee Self Service Parent Bookmark. It is possible that an organization may not wish to implement every component of the Employee Self Service center. The bookmark, which offers access to those parts of the application, can be locked so no user will have access. Pictured here, the Career Management Access lock is closed, so no user will see that option when using the Employee Self Service bookmark. If, later, the Career Management portion of ESS is implemented, the Portal Administrator simply has to unlock the child bookmark to allow users access to Career Management.
